Our September meeting was held in Flagstaff, Arizona and included a tour of the Riordan Mansion located within the Riordan Mansion State Historic Park.  The Riordan mansion was really unique with built in features inspired by the environment of the area and the extraordinary amenities for the period. What a grand home that has features of luxury that even homes today don’t have.  Architect Charles Whittlesey, who designed the El Tovar hotel in the Grand Canyon, was into breaking innovations well beyond the 1904 period when this house was built.  The business meeting was held in the Flagstaff Public Library conference room.  That was followed by another great lunch at the Galaxy Diner.
